Questions before the next step
Permit requirements, in plain language.
Answers about permitting and inspections in Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia, plus what the Allen-Norris pathway assessment can and cannot do.
What does the Permit Pathway Navigator do?
It organizes the project, location, objectives, documents, and service request you provide, then applies a deterministic browser-based rules matrix to create an educational, preliminary pathway report. It does not make an official permit determination or query government records.
Does the report tell me exactly which permits to file?
No. It identifies likely permit categories, potential additional reviews, documentation, and questions for professional review. The applicable AHJ and exact filing sequence must be confirmed by Allen-Norris and the relevant authorities.
Can I upload drawings or documents?
Not through this website. The navigator does not receive or securely store client documents and does not use AI to read drawings. Allen-Norris can provide a secure upload link after the assessment is submitted if documents are needed.
Which areas have the most detailed starting context?
The navigator provides more detailed preliminary coverage for Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia, and North Carolina use careful state-level starting references that require local verification.
What is a Permit Readiness Assessment?
It is a separate paid professional review that can go deeper into readiness, documents, likely reviews, and open questions. The navigator does not show a price or collect payment.
Can I request full permit management?
Yes. Select the full permit management service pathway at the end of the assessment to request a proposal. A request is not an agreement, quote, or guarantee.
